An Update on Mobile License Prices

We've seen phenomenal interest in NativePHP for Mobile over the course of this year. Charging to access it seemed like it might not work, but we've been blown away by the response!

Thousands of you have bought licenses! And nativephp/mobile has now been downloaded over 10,000 times 🚀 Just think of all those wonderful apps being built!

This incredible response has allowed us to invest our time to keep on improving it and the ecosystem around it.

We've been saying ever since the beginning, our goal is to get to a completely free version of NativePHP for Mobile. But as we're not a multi-billion-dollar corporation, we need to be able to do that in a sustainable way.

We've committed to doing it as soon as possible, but we have to take it step by step.

Bifrost is one step in that direction. Subscriptions to Bifrost help us offset the cost of supporting and developing NativePHP. If you haven't already, please sign up for a Bifrost account. 🙏

Bifrost only launched a little over a month ago, but we're already seeing exceptional growth. 🎉

Thanks to this, we're taking this opportunity to lower the prices of our NativePHP for Mobile licenses considerably.

Now, that's something you don't see every day!

Here's what the new licensing looks like:

#Mini

Mini licenses will no longer be sold via nativephp.com.

With a Mini license, you can build as many NativePHP for Mobile apps as you want, but you can only ship one app to production (for both platforms) with each Mini license. So if you wanted to release another app, you'd have to purchase another Mini license (or one of our other licenses, Pro or Max).

However, from today, you will not be able to purchase more Mini licenses.

They will only be available as part of a Bifrost subscription and will continue to come for free, as part of that. It's not possible to purchase more.

That means you can get building and shipping, all with just a Bifrost subscription.

#Pro

Pro is great for individual developers and small teams who are building apps for themselves or for their clients.

The Pro license was a discounted, affordable alternative to buying multiple Mini licenses—you could get a Pro license instead of 10 Mini licenses and you'd get a great discount.

Each Pro license granted you the ability to release up to 10 apps.

But today we're going all-in! we're extending the license so you can now distribute UNLIMITED apps with a Pro license. This applies to all Pro licenses, even those purchased before this change.

If you already have a Pro license, there's nothing to do. Your license will upgrade automatically and you can continue to use it as you already do.

And on top of that, new Pro licenses cost just $200/year. (Previously $250)

#Max

Our Max license is what got us this far. Thanks to all of our Early Access customers who purchased a Max license, your support has enabled us to accelerate this project beyond our wildest dreams. 👏

So today we're lowering the price of Max to just $350/year. (Previously $1,000)

Max is squarely aimed at larger teams. With unlimited developer seats, enhanced support and direct repo access, Max subscribers will continue to get great benefits.

#Bonus for Existing Customers

If you already have a license, you can get a Pro or Max License at an even lower price. Simply login to our License Manager to get the discount.

In summary:

  • Mini licenses only available for free with a Bifrost subscription (which starts at $19/month).
  • Pro licenses now $200/year (was $250), with unlimited apps.
  • Max licenses now $350/year (was $1,000).

Note that these price changes have also been reflected in our PPP currencies, INR and BDT, which can only be seen at checkout.

We're genuinely thrilled to be able to offer these reductions and improvements to our licensing.

We're committed to enabling more and more developers to experience the benefits of NativePHP for Mobile, and we're excited to be able to make it more accessible without compromising our ability to support and maintain the tool.
